Transition to Further Education

Jarjum encourages students and families to exercise freedom and choice in their education, supporting students to access high school opportunities reflecting their life aspirations. The College helps graduates to apply for scholarships and bursaries, accessing high school placements that might otherwise be inaccessible due to financial circumstances.

The College thanks Knight-Frank Australia for their generous support of Jarjum’s Graduates Promotions Initiative, recognising the key role they have played in providing opportunities for students to exercise choice and self-determination in their educational journey.

If you or your organisation would like to contribute to Jarjum’s Graduates Promotions Initiative please use principal@rjc.nsw.edu.au to contact the Principal.

Hi my name is Isobella Reuben I’m 15yrs old in Year 10 at St Scholastica College and I’m a proud Torres Strait Islander women. My favourite subject is Maths, Science and Food tech. The thing I love about school is my friends, touch football, oztag and that I’m part of Aboriginal culture dance group with Aunty Rayma. I’m always proud to represent our culture. That’s what keeps me going to school because back in Year 7 I didn’t have a lot of friends and I was very shy. I didn’t know how to communicate with people. Now I feel so confident, happy and proud of myself. I’ve been getting good grades and awards for my hard work. My goal is to make my family proud and to continue working hard.
